Vicenza has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994, with its majestic architecture signed by only one name: Andrea Palladio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What to see in Vicenza and surroundings:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks to Palladio, the architectural genius who has left the clearest sign of his art in Vicenza, we can admire the Renaissance buildings of incomparable elegance today: the Basilica Palladiana with a breath-taking view from the top floor, and the beautiful Loggia of the Capitan, both located in the central Piazza dei Signori. As well as some other works of the same great architect: the Palazzo Chiericati, now the Civic Museum and Art Gallery of the city, the Palazzo Barbaran da Porto where is located the Palladian Museum, and the renowned Olympic Theatre, which was finished by Scamozzi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the gates of this \u201ccity of Palladio\u201d, there is the magnificent Villa Almerico-Capra Valmarana, also known as La Rotonda, famous for its particular development of the central plan that fits harmoniously into the natural setting of the Berici Hills. While the Basilica of St. Mary of Mount Berico is not far from the city centre, located on the top of a hill that dominates the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is the home of many precious artworks such as the painting of the Dinner of S.
